Kim Martin, an attorney at Harrison & Held, LLP, serves on the Board of Directors of Peter and Paul’s Place, Inc. Her practice focuses on trusts and estates, with particular expertise in estate planning for families with a special needs family member. Her areas of expertise also include guardianship, divorce settlement agreements in cases that involve a special needs child, tax planning and charitable planning. Kim has a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Virginia and she earned her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was admitted to practice in Georgia in 1999. She is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the State Bar of Georgia, , the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers. She also serves on the Board of Directors for “Just People”, Right in the Community, which assists developmentally disabled adults with supported living and day programs and Branch our Initiative, which provides STEM-based activities fro children with special needs. Kim is the mother of a child on the autism spectrum.
