Private Facebook Group for Participant Direct

Parent to Parent of Georgia has started a private Facebook Group for Participant Direct the NOW/COMP waiver in Georgia.

They are hosting a series of Facebook Live events in July and August featuring the PD Coordinators from each region and Olivia Nickens, the DBHDD Family Support Manager.

*There are no registration links for these sessions, just be on a member of the group and go to this page at noon on the below-mentioned dates and you should be able to join the live Q&A session. The sessions will be recorded so you can always view them later too!

Be aware the temporary provisions for Family Hire provided through Appendix-K will end on November 11, 2023. The established Family Hire Provisions in Chapter 1200, PART II Policies and Procedures COMP and NOW Waiver Program Manual will be reinstated on November 12, 2023. Family members who have extenuating circumstances as defined in Chapter 1200 will need to apply no later than July 31, 2023 to continue being paid caregivers after November 11, 2023. Participant Direction Representatives should submit Family Hire applications with supporting documentation via email to participant.direction@dbhdd.ga.gov no later than July 31, 2023. Please include your Region# in the subject line of your email when you submit your family hire application.
