Charlotte McKinnon

Charlotte McKinnon graduated from Emory University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a focus on Genetics.  She is the mother and full-time caregiver for two disabled adult children (Peter and Anne) with extensive practical hands-on experience in the caregiving requirements for SN children and adults . She spent several years as Office Manager for an Architectural and Engineering firm responsible for the administration, accounting and payroll functions.

Charlotte was appointed by the Director of the DeKalb County Special Education Department and served as co-chair of a committee to address self-contained and inclusion classes for children with disabilities. She and Lois started a bowling group for SN individuals that lasted for several years and soon realized that the community was in desperate need for more such opportunities for adults with disabilities.
